Prisoner B-3087

Book Review by: Langley

Book by: Alan Gratz
Book Length: 272 pages

Story Summary: It’s the 1930’s in Poland. Yanek, a Jew, is living a normal life until they come. The horrible Nazi’s. First they take his mom and dad. Next it’s his cousins. Aunts, uncles, friends. Then Yanek. He gets dragged to 10 concentration camps and to the Nazi’s he’s Prisoner B-3087.. Beaten and starved, he is struggling to survive. Hope is nowhere to be seen but death is creeping up. Can he get out before death finds him?

Your Review: I liked this book because it was a true story and it is about survival. I liked every thing about it. My favorite character would have to be Moonface. Even though he was bad he had one little glimpse of kindness. It saved Yanek. This book would make a really good movie because it makes us remember everything that happened. Who should star? I’m not sure who would star but anyone would be great in it. I think students who like history and WW1 or WW2 would love thius book. There is also a sequel so read that to!
